5 Thai Recipes to Try at Home!

We love opening our doors to our customers each and every day and opening their minds (and taste buds) to Thai cuisine. When done right, Thai food is an explosion of flavour in your mouth but it doesn’t always have to be hugely complicated to make your own. We’re always looking to encourage our diners to try cooking Thai dishes for themselves and then coming in to Thai Terre and letting us know how it went.

To help you on your way to becoming a great Thai cook, we’ve rounded up some great recipes for you to try and tell us all about!

Thai Red Chicken Curry from Carls Bad Cravings – This 30 minute Thai Red Chicken Curry with vegetables is wonderfully creamy with coconut, bursting with layers of flavor, incredibly easy and all made in just one pot! It will definitely end up being a new favourite in your house and quick and easy to make at the end of a long day!

Moo Ping from Cool Cat Hot Food – Street food is one of the great things about living in Thailand, and this Moo Ping (grilled pork) is a favourite afternoon snack treat.  Small pieces of marinated pork collar are threaded on to wooden skewers and then grilled so that they get a nice char, but remain juicy and moist.

Thai Salmon in Foil from Damn Delicious – The flavors are sealed right into a foil packet with no clean up! The salmon comes out so tender/juicy. Sure to be a family favourite! It’s quick and easy to make and would be great for a dinner party, especially as it will leave no extra washing up as everything is in the foil. Serve it over noodles or delicious fluffy rice for a great meal.

Rainbow Vegetarian Pad Thai from Pinch of Yum – This Rainbow Vegetarian Pad Thai is first and foremost RAINBOW, which is the only fun way to eat anything in life. It is brown rice noodles, spiralised veggies and a super tangy-delicious Pad Thai sauce that you just shake up in a jar in about five seconds flat, and peanuts that almost instantly start to soak up the sauce, and a gently scrambled egg that kind of cream-ifies the whole thing.

Thai Sweet Chilli Chicken from Rasamalaysia – The recipe is so easy. You take some chicken, battered and deep-fried, and then toss in the wok or skillet with some garlic, sweet chilli sauce, lime juice, and garnish with sesame seeds and chopped coriander. A quick and easy dinner that will have the kids asking for more – can always change the sauce too!
