Thai Terre East Dean restaurant’s location is opposite the village green in the picturesque South Downs village of East Dean, close to Birling Gap and three miles west of Eastbourne. At first a Thai restaurant may seem out of keeping with the flint-walled cottages and the well-kept traditional English village common, but this pairing reflects the driving principle of Thai Terre – to take the best the South Downs can provide and add an exotic twist to create something really special.
If travelling east from Brighton, the entrance to East Dean Village is from A259, down the steep hill, turning right into ‘Upper Street’. Alternatively, continue to the bottom of the hill, turn right into ‘Gilberts Drive’ and access to the Village car park is on the right.
From Eastbourne (travelling west), at the bottom of the hill (A259) turn left into ‘Gilberts Drive’ and then access to the Village car park is on the right.
Parking: Free parking in Upper Street, Lower Street and Village Car Park
There is free parking to the rear of the restaurant, being the first turning on the right in Regency Close (only 50m from Church Street).
